PRESIDENT'S REPORT

President’s Report 2007

August 2007

I am personally pleased with position the club is in, the club has a stable core membership with a steady influx of new members. The club is very financial which attests to the collective achievements of the committee. The committee have been very supportive during this past year and I wish to extend my appreciation to each and every one of them. My thanks also go to club members how have continued to attended club workshops, supported organised events and generally participated in club activities, without your support the club would not exist.

Activities the club has organised included –

Bus trips to Megumi Bennett’s 30^th exhibition and Gardening Australia Expo

Bus trip to Greenlight Nursery (Taree)

Demonstrations by Sue Brennan, Chris Allnut and a talk on fertiliser by a Neutrog Fertiliser Representative.
Demonstrations by talented local club members.
Progressive raffles
Fully catered Christmas Party
Cocktail party to celebrate 35^th Anniversary of club

The committee were also instrumental in organising:

· Signage for the Hall

· Bonsai Maintenance calendars

· Purchase of Tools for members

As indicated it has been a busy year for the committee who have tried to be innovative and progressive with organising functions, we hope you as members has gained something from these events.

I hope future events are as well supported.

I have enjoyed my term in office but regrettably it is time to step down and let a bit of new blood take this position.

Again my thanks to all and I wish the incoming committee all the success in the future.
